Some  equipment racks  are lucky  enough to  have an
Eventide SP2016. It’s  an effects processor  from the
mid-1980′s  that included  several reverb  algorithms
that  are  still  prized  today:  Stereo  Room,  Room
Reverb, and High Density Plate.
Princeton Digital has recreated these reverbs in  the
Reverb 2016 hardware unit, and these same sounds  are
available as vstplugins.

Stereo Room is one of the reverbs from the legendary Eventide SP2016. It processes two input channels and creates a pair of diffuse reverberant outputs. It offers parameters for pre-delay, decay time, diffusion, EQ, and a unique position control. The position control simulates placing the listener anywhere within the simulated room allowing the reverb to “sit” in the mix without cluttering it up.
