About HG Fortune: background of my music and algorithmic work: Actually all arose back in the early 90ies when I was developing some kind of tool the “generate” music from horoscope-data. It was then when I developed my very own system of algorithmic composition. This had been working quite well. For the technical interested visitors: the music was done with quite “simple means”: Kawai K11, Kawai K4 & K4R, Peavey DPM V2, some Juno 106 and JX8P, a Kawai RV4 as FX-Unit. Due to different circumstances that system lay dormant for several years and I did some different kind of electronic music.

HG Fortune has announced that the Scapes Wizard 1 soundscape generator is now re-released as a freware instrument.

ScapesWizard is a machine for soundscapes with a very different control concept by triggering different samples via keyboard, or, using LazyPlay play a pool of waves in sequence or at random driven by inbuilt clock or triggered by keyboard to advance manually.

As of Summer Solstice and forthcoming World Music Day here is Altair 4 B Pro now free (slightly reworked with resized (smaller) GUI and hidden Easter Egg (Lazy button).

As May 6th is on a sunday this year it is a good day for a surprise in reconnecting to the past some way. The circle of the spiral crosses the point where it all began: HGFortune’s very 1st public VSTi ‘Wheel of Fortune’ or WoF! In reminiscense to this after about 9 years here is a worthy successor GhostMachine WoF Edition 2012 which is an offspring of the bigger project GhostMachine.

HG Fortune has released a public beta version of Project WFX, an upcoming algorithmic composition machine in VSTi plugin format for Windows.

Now what is Project WFX? A 4 part algorithmic composition tool – or simpler an algorithmic music machine. And, no, it’s not an X-WoF – that series is definitively past. It’s something quite different. It’s more based on my very 1st ‘Wheel of Fortune’ as in AutoPlay the whole thing runs on my very special algorithms like shown in the recent demos. But you’ll be able to transpose manually via MIDI kb but still many algorithms will take effect.

In celebration of Easter, HG Fortune has re-released STS-26 Pro, a virtual synthesizer in VSTi plugin format for Windows.

An Easter Egg by HG Fortune: STS-26 Pro now Free NFG – Happy Easter and enjoy. STS-26 comes with a new set of 128 waveforms + 21 percussion loops for low octave loop play (LOP) as part of the synth sound. Also two Contour Generators have been added which can be drawn by mouse in realtime thus rather complex LFO-waves can be done.

H.G. Fortune has released The Tiger Free, a feature-limited version (3 voices, 256 patches) of his new The Tiger synthesizer VSTi plugin for Windows.

The Tiger Synth is a highly versatile and flexible synthesizer being capable of complex multilayered sounds with some specific extras from the Aux oscillators, as well as groovy rhythmic sounds you would hardly expect from a synth, and, if you want, fairly typical synth sounds (brass, bass, strings PPG, DX, lead etc.). Free version – 3 voices, no Lazy, 256 patches only, sf2 load at Osc 2 section B only.
